The University of Hawaii at Hilo was tied for 5th place after the first round of the St. Edward’s Invitational on Monday in Austin, Texas.

Going into today’s final round, Tarleton State players held the top three spots to lead their team to a 300 total and the first-round lead. In second place was host St. Edward’s at 319, followed by Arkansas-FortSmith at 322. UH-Hilo was tied at 325 with West Texas A&M and Newman.

“We’re only three out of third place and six out of second place,” said UH-Hilo coach Jim DeMello. “We’re making little mistakes along the way that if we take of would put us right up there.
